Dear Chloe: The Day You Were Born

Dear Chloe,

I love these pictures from your birth, our doula Deana took them just minutes after you were born. I am so grateful she captured these precious new moments of us as a  family of three. The day you were born was the most beautiful day of my life. I cant believe that in 2 days you will be one year old! Thank you for bringing so much love and joy to your Daddy and I, you are our sunshine!

Weekend Pictures

Happy Monday, hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Here are some pictures from a good friend's daughter's 1st birthday party. Happy Birthday Payton!

And guess who is turning one on Thursday? Chloe, ahh I just cant believe it! and her party is this Saturday!

Adventure: Lincoln Park Zoo

Yesterday afternoon Mike and I decided it would be fun to spend a day at the Lincoln Park Zoo with Chloe. The weather was gorgeous and we had such a fun time in the afternoon sun exploring the zoo. Lincoln park zoo is a free zoo and only run on donations so that everyone can enjoy learning about and exploring all the animals and nature. With that being said since it is free they they don't always have a lot of animals to see, which is what happened to us yesterday. 

We did however get to see a big black bear, a sleepy lion, a seal, a few different kinds of monkeys, flamingos, turtles and lots of pretty butterflies. Chloe did so great at the zoo and seemed to be most interested in the black bear. I cant wait to take Chloe to the zoo more often and hopefully soon we will get to go to the Brookfield Zoo in Chicago.

Chloe Eats: Lunch

Chloe's lunch a few day's ago consisted of blackberries ( which she loves) , peas, corn, and for the first time ever I gave her organic unsalted peanut butter on a piece of whole wheat toast. She ate mostly everything except for the peas and corn which she only ate a little of. Chloe seemed to really love trying the peanut butter for the first time and I'm happy to say she isn't allergic to it!

Oh and that brown spot on Chloe's face is peanut butter! To make sure she wasn't allergic to it before I let her try some I just put a little dab of it on her cheek and left it on for 20 minutes to see if she would have any reaction to it. She didn't have any reaction to the peanut butter so I then let her try some on a piece of whole wheat toast! Thank you Leah for the great tip, Chloe absolutely loves peanut butter now!

Pictures At The Park And My Due Date

I love the weekend, it will always remind me of happiness, laughter, and spending time with the ones I love. Yesterday evening, before dinner Mike and I took Chloe to the park to play. She had a blast getting to play with Daddy and I had lots of fun taking pictures. These are the moments I never want to forget!

Oh, and I also wanted to mention that today, June 3rd was my due date last year, little did I know that Chloe wasn't going to be born for almost another 2 weeks! I still love remembering though how special this time was for both Mike and I as we waited anxiously to meet our precious daughter!
