Chloe, mining for "gold" at the pumpkin patch. Yesterday afternoon after Chloe and I dropped Mike off at work we headed over to our nearest pumpkin patch for a little spontaneous adventure. I cant even begin to tell you how much fun we had together, just the two of us. We fed the animals at petting zoo, mined for gold, took a bumpy tractor train ride, and jumped around in a big pumpkin jump house. I'm so happy this trip to the pumpkin patch turned out better then the last time we tried to go!

Mike and I have made it a family tradition to take Chloe to the pumpkin patch every Autumn. It has always been one of my favorite things to do together as a family, and this year was even more special because Mike's older brother Scott was in town visiting. Unfortunately though the day did not go as planned, we got there later then I was hoping, it was unbelievably crowded and Chloe was tired, grumpy, and over stimulated. After numerous meltdowns and tears ( from us all ) we decided to leave early. I'm not going to lie I was pretty disappointed we had to leave so much earlier then planned but when you're a parent that's just the way life is at times.

Chloe, swinging on a big kid swing! It's moments like these ones that leave me in awe over how quickly my little girl has grown, from once a tiny, sleepy, newborn baby to now this beautiful, independent, wild two year old full of so much joy and excitement. Makes my heart ache.
