Daydreaming of Spring

-- Photo's from last June, The Butterfly Garden at Brookfield Zoo. --

Daffodils, by Mark R Slaughter

I fell in love -
Taken by the innocence of
child-faced daffodils.

Their perky April fanfares -
Clarion calls from yellow-ochre brass bands
Presaging, rejoicing, calling us.

" Here we are! Here we are! "

Warm With Spring

" The naked earth is warm with Spring,
and with green grass and bursting trees
leans to the sun's gaze glorying,
and quivers in the sunny breeze;
and life is Color and Warmth and Light. "

Goodbye Summer

We spent the afternoon at the park, just Chloe and I. The summer sun warm against our skin,
we laughed and played in the grass, leaves dry and crunchy under our toes. The air calm and peaceful, gently dancing though our hair.

We felt the tight embrace of Mother earth wrap around us, warm and nurturing to our bones, as we said goodbye to the last day's summer.

Time stood still....

and in that moment everything was how it should be

Goodbye Summer

I can hardly contain my excitement for fall!

She Will Move Mountains

Let her sleep
for when she wakes
she will move mountains...

I am so in love with this quote and my beautiful girl!

These Are The Days

This poem is so very sweet and has reminded me just how special and beautiful breastfeeding my daughter is to me.

Mother's Love

These are the days of laughter and love
smiling faced cherubim sent from above
snuggled at my breast full of warmth and rest
brings meaning and purpose fulling destiny
creating, nurturing the solar plexus
of radiant energy transformed
in your smile.
