Remembering Our Days: A Photo Journal

Sunday May 5th, 2013 // A day I never want to forget.

Though a few weeks have already passed since our visit with Mike's oldest sister Cory and her husband Jeff, the memory of this day will forever be embedded in my heart. I truly feel so blessed to have married into such a wonderful, loving family who care so much about us. I cherish these pictures of us together as a family, moments like these just don't come often enough.

Chloe, such a creative little soul, bursting with wonder and magic!

Last Saturday we went out to dinner with family to celebrate two May birthday's and Mothers Day. Chloe sat in her highchair, mesmerized by a simple strand of blue ribbon. She wrapped it around her small wrists and then around her head like a pretty headband. I quietly watched her play as the sun poured in through the large windows, lighting up her face in the most beautiful way!

Mothers Day: The Chicago Botanic Garden

On Sunday Mike took Chloe and I to the Chicago Botanic Garden to celebrate Mothers Day. The garden was truly breathtaking and so much bigger then I imagined it would be. We walked around exploring each section, breathing in the beautiful aroma of spring in full bloom. I could have spent an entire day there, slowly taking in the beauty and magic of this place. I couldn't have asked for a better Mothers Day.

I feel so humbled and honored to be called a Mother, thank you my beautiful, sweet Chloe for making me a Mom, you my dear are my greatest treasure. There is nothing I love more then spending my days with you and your Daddy!

Happy Mothers Day to my own Mother, you are a beautiful woman, thank you for you constant love and support!

Chloe, enjoying a delicious breakfast of eggs, strawberries and blueberries with me on this perfect Saturday morning!

Working full time again has given me a new found love and appreciation for Saturday mornings. Sleeping in late, waking up to the sound of birds chirping outside my window and the sweetest little girl full of smiles staring back at me, truly one of the best feelings in the world! We slowly make our way to the kitchen, I make coffee for myself and pour Chloe a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice. The house is quite, peaceful,  I close my eyes and focus on the rise and fall of my chest as I take a deep breath in, slowly exhaling out. Today is going to be a beautiful day, I can feel it!

Hello May

Bits and pieces from our first weekend in May.

This weekend has been truly glorious. Two long days filled with warmth, sunshine, sweet smelling flowers, laughter, joy and most importantly, time spent together as a family. I cant help but feel renewed and inspired and so grateful as I head into my second week of work tomorrow.

 What a beautiful start to May. Hope your weekend has been just as lovely!
